CVs

My reputation is built on the quality of the CVs I produce, which is why I never outsource and write every CV myself taking time and care. I have over 20 years experience in recruitment and professional CV writing, and that is well reflected in the success of my work.

My work always starts with an initial telephone or Skype consultation, where I gather the facts and evidence to allow me to write a CV that will position you correctly for your chosen job or sector. I like to dig deep to find skills and talents that you may overlook as irrelevant, but set you apart from the rest in the eyes of recruiters.

Your CV will be completely bespoke to showcase your skills and experience. Before I write your CV I take time to research the jobs, sector or company you want to work for, so your CV will be targeted with the correct keywords. All my CVs are optimised to be compatible with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), so you won’t get overlooked because the ATS can’t understand your skills and experience.

It’s important to me that you are satisfied and entirely comfortable with the final document, which is why I will discuss various format options with you and offer a satisfaction guarantee.

Your draft CV will then be emailed to you 4 – 5 working days after your consultation. If you require any amendments, just contact me within 3 days of receipt of your CV, and I will continue to amend your CV for up to 7 days after receipt until you are fully and completely satisfied with the final version. Occasionally, I will call clients to discuss requested amendments if I believe that the revision would be detrimental to securing an interview, as I always have my clients’ best interests at heart. However, I never forget it is your CV and will continue to make amends for up to 7 days after you have received the first draft until you are entirely satisfied.

For your data security, I can only take payment online.

Application Forms

Once the preserve of the public sector, more and more employers are opting for an application form! This allows the employer to specify the information they need and helps them to make comparisons between candidates quickly and easily. Many job hunters fail to provide much of the relevant information that would convince the employer that they were a good candidate to interview. Others may cut and paste the information from their CV, making the fundamental mistake of not giving the employer what they want. The art of a successful application is balancing what the recruiter wants while ensuring your achievements are expressed succinctly.

Application forms vary widely in complexity so please send your application form to me so I can provide you with an accurate price. As with my CV service, you will have up to 7 days to instruct me to make amendments; I ensure that all my clients are completely happy and comfortable with their application.

Covering Letters

Covering letters are an excellent opportunity for you to let the employer know a little bit more about yourself and step outside the restrictions that tailoring your CV to the job advert has imposed.

Your covering letter is the very first thing a potential employer will read; it can set you apart and make you more memorable, piquing the interest of the recruiter so that they want to meet with you at interview. However, it’s also important to get the balance right and not put off your reader with a life history or totally unrelated facts. My professional cover letters will achieve this for you.
